"It has come to our attention that this website is making unauthorised use of the POP IDOL logo.
The goodwill associated with our Pop Idol television program holds considerable value and you will no doubt therefore be aware that your use of our logo carries with it the risk of infringement of our rights. By using the Pop Idol logo on your website, you create the false impression that you are licensed or endorsed by Thames and 19 TV or somehow affiliated with Pop Idol. Any such false appearance of licensing or endorsement would infringe upon and dilute FremantleMedia's proprietary rights. We therefore
ask that you refrain, with immediate effect, from using the Pop Idol logo on your website.

Although we understand the spirit of the antiidol website, FremantleMedia and 19 Television, who jointly own the rights to the POP IDOL logo®, do not wish to give the impression that they are supporting the website. As I am sure you can appreciate, we receive a lot of requests to use the "Pop Idol" name and logo and, whilst we appreciate that your site is a "light hearted poke in the ribs", we believe that this use of our logo will mislead people into believing that it is somehow endorsed by FremantleMedia and 19 Television. We are therefore insisting that you remove the POP IDOL Logo from your
website.

Fremantle Media..."

Oh well, we'll have a new one soon...
